The option of “Family Oblation” for families with young children has been avail- able for some years, but during the last year a brochure for this program has been developed with the help of an “Oblate family,” in which the parents are Oblates and their small children become “junior Oblates.” The brochure gives a description of Benedictine/Catholic practices that families can use to form their children in the Christian faith and Benedictine virtues. Copies of this brochure are available, es- pecially for young couples in the Oblate Program who have young children.
September Oblate Day
Guest speaker Katerina Deem presented at the September Oblate Day. Her topic was the “The Lord sets my feet upon rock. Living out the promise of stability through remembrance of
