Father Donald recently decided to obtain an estimate of how many Oblates and Oblate novices were on the Oblate mailing list.
The result was that there were some 342 Oblate novices and some 610 Oblates. The high number of Oblate novices was somewhat amazing.
In October or November letters were sent to those who had been Oblate novices for three years or more to determine whether they were still interested in the Oblate program and whether they wished to prepare for final Oblation.
