2020 The Role of the Abbot, Father Donald

Father Donald Raila, O.S.B., director of the Oblate Program at Saint Vincent Archabbey, discusses what the role of the abbot in a Benedictine monastic community should be, based on teaching from the Rule of Saint Benedict, as well as reflections written on that teaching from Benedictines of the Archabbey as well as others. The talk was originally scheduled to be given in March, as the Saint Vincent monastic community prepares to elect a new spiritual father.
