Oblate Talk on July 11

Brother Finnbar McEvoy, O.S.B., will give the talk on Saturday, July 11 on the topic of Benedictine vows. Brother Finnbar made solemn profession of monastic vows in 2025 at Saint Vincent Archabbey, after transferring his vows from Saint Mary’s Abbey in Morristown, New Jersey. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in math from The Catholic University of America, and a Master of Education degree in high school math education from the University of Notre Dame, as well as the Master of Arts in Catholic Philosophical Studies from Saint Vincent Seminary. He began Seminary studies in 2022 and has worked in the Vocation Office, is on the Archabbey Formation Committee, and is assistant to the vice president for enrollment at Saint Vincent College. He is scheduled to be ordained to the diaconate on May 23, 2026.
